I’m by no means an insider when it comes to fashion but I know what I like when I see it. I stumbled across Kayleigh Dozzell on Instagram and I almost pitched my phone across the room.
After some research (read: lurking), I learned that Kayleigh just showed her graduate collection at Graduate Fashion Week representing the University of East London and I can confirm that I’m already obsessed.
It’s like my utilitarian dreams have come true! Oversized, anti-fit, decontructed, denim, patchwork, military liners and heavy white stab stitching over muted, neutral tones. It’s all perfectly imperfect. Yohji, Junya, Commes and even Acne come to mind. I’m excited to see Dozzell’s career progress and wish her the best of luck.

Kween Erykah can do no wrong imho. I watched this last night with my hand over one eye because migraine but I made it through.
The song is taken from Robert Glasper‘s Everything Is Beautiful – a collection of reworked Miles Davis compositions, with revised lyrics by EB. She also wrote and directed the video! I have a lot of time for artists creating things outside of a the formulaic song and a music video to go with it (see Miss Beyonce and her last two releases). I love this reference to the 60’s and beatnik/jazz/showbiz culture. It’s also pretty hilair. The cut crease, though! Kill ’em Erykah ❤
I have sensitive eyes so I wear sunglasses all year round. They also act a force field so as to avoid unwanted social interaction AND as a light diffuser (is that a thing?) when I have a migraine. These new babies from Swedish brand, Monokel Eyewear, arrived just in time for summer…(if it ever makes it to this wretched island)*.
Be sure to check out the Monokel website and their other social platforms (instagram, twitter) and tell them I sent you.
*They addressed it to Tennesha, my government persona. How cute? 😉

Hallelujah, praise the lordt, I’ve finally found the long line, satin duster jacket for spring/summer that I’ve been searching for. All of my jackets are either leather or camo (omg, I have a problem) so I needed something for these warmer temperatures that’s a little softer, sleek and feminine.
I’ve had my eye on Studio Nicholson for some time now. Imagine all of the mature tombabe, Japanese/Scandi/minimal but from my very own doorstep in East London. I visited their sample sale (because who doesn’t love a sample sale, #letzbehonest) and found this jacket on the £30 rail.

I first saw Obituary when I was 18. I bought the ticket from a friend for a penny and have made sure to catch them every time since. Here’s one of my favourites. The Tardy brothers have perfect hair, omg.
…it’s been a lot of planes, trains and auto mobiles. Paris, Basel, Copenhagen, Marrakech, Belgium, Holland and random small towns in Germany, some of which I can’t even name.
